"If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water." — Loren Eiseley
Underwater photography is at the core of my business as a photographer whereas it defines me most of all as an artist, as it dates back to 2011 when I started to take my first underwater photos with my first waterproof compact camera.
From 2011 to present day, my childhood love of the underwater world and underwater photography has grown into an exciting journey that I dedicate most of my time to.
The project is centered around the beauty of the feminine form, under the water.
Topics under this idea include: underwater modeling, underwater fashion, underwater dance and underwater portraits.
From 2018 onwards, the whole idea has developed under a wider concept, the ancient myth of Nereids. The concept of Nereids is based on Greek mythology and specifically on the sea nymphs that accompanied Poseidon the God of the Sea.
This is the latest development of my work, and the foundation upon which all of my underwater photos are based up to date.
The concept of Nereids is not limited to photography, as my underwater photographs are also featured in a set of themed posts on both my Instagram and Facebook Pages.
This ongoing photographic journey can also be found on my Behance profile, where the original photos are regularly re-edited and remixed, providing further insight into their perspective.
All of the photographs in the Project are shot at sea, in various locations in Greece.
